Board of Trustees

Anthony Paul, Chairperson
Tony was a member of one of the first groups based at Trinity when it opened more than 40 years ago.  Since then, he has retained an active interest in its development and has intermittenly held various posts on the Board.

Ena Gustave, Treasurer
Ena has a background in nursing and critical care. Her experience and understanding of adult mental health issues is a valuable source of support for Trinity's projects.

Bala Arumugam, Secretary
Bala is a Sports Coach with a special interest in using sport to help young people develop emotional resilience and physical health.  He works closely with young people at risk of offending and those who have offended, developing partnerships with local schools, Newham's Youth Services, police and various local agencies.  In 2007 he wasone of several community leaders invited by the BBC to meet the Prime Minister at Downing Street, Bala is Founder/Chairperson of the Lotus Sports Club at Trinity.

Nesaratnam Jeyakumar, Trustee/Director 
Jey is a qualified accountant who regularly helps with Trinity's accounts, over-seeing preparation of financial reports and providing training on financial procedures and software.

Mrs T Manoharan, Trustee/Director 
Mrs Manoharan is a retired Civil servant who now volunteers her time to teach Tamil at a local community class based at Trinity. As well as teaching to exam level, Mrs Manoharan also takes part in helping to organise major social and religious Tamil festivals.  She is keen to promote an understanding of Tamil culture amongst the many different communites living in Newham.

Rev Mabs Nkumu, Trustee/Director 
Rev Mabs leads a Congolese congregation of approximately 300 members.  He takes a holistic approach to the needs of his community, supporting them to overcome the difficulties caused by war and civil unrest and adapting to a new culture.  He is particularly keen that the children connected to the church retain an understanding of Congolese culture whilst at the same time intergrating into their community. Rev Mabs Church (AIRS) is well known for its music an choir, giving members the opportunity to record and perform in both the UK and overseas.

Sajimon MaeliekaTrustee/Director
Sajimon is a Service Manager with a leading Health & Social Care provider and Housing Association in UK. He is a professional in Human Resource Management and Social work with plenty of  working experience in his areas of expertise. He involves with various charity organisations by helping them raise funds and actively participates in local community activities. He is also a registered social worker."
